I love a good smoothie in the morning, something with lots of nutrients and no added sugar. This smoothie recipe is a fave of mine because it’s only three ingredients: frozen banana, frozen strawberries, and almond milk.

Best Ever Butternut Squash Soup | Recipe

Best Ever Butternut Squash Soup | Recipe

Dinner is definitely one of my favorite meals of the day, but it’s also typically the heaviest. I hate that bloated feeling I sometimes get after eating dinner, so lately I’ve been trying to eat lighter for dinner so I don’t spend the rest of the night feeling sluggish or bloated. This soup is perfect for days when I want to stay feeling light! It’s so yummy and nourishing, plus I can eat an entire bowl and still feel both skinny and full afterwards. I love it!

Egg Breakfast Wraps | Recipe

Egg Breakfast Wraps | Recipe

These breakfast wraps are the best! I love them because they trick my mind into thinking I’m eating bread based wrap when in reality, the wrap is made entirely out of egg! These wraps are also super versatile. I always stuff them with my faves: tomatoes, avocado and spinach. However, you can totally be more adventurous and add ingredients such as sauted veggies, protein, cheese or anything else you want in there because pretty much EVERYTHING tastes good with eggs.

Yogurt Dipped Blueberries | Recipe

Yogurt Dipped Blueberries | Recipe

I love fruit dipped in greek yogurt! In case you missed my last fruit + greek yogurt post, I recently
dipped kiwi slices in greek yogurt and froze them. I was pretty much in heaven! It’s crazy how it
tastes like SUCH a treat, when in reality it’s simply fruit and greek yogurt! Two totally healthy
and good-for- you ingredients. I’m so obsessed.

Easy & Crispy Cauliflower Pizza

Easy & Crispy Cauliflower Pizza

There is nothing quite like a homemade pizza! In fact, it's one of my favorite things. I've really been into replacing bread and potatoes with cauliflower lately and now I prefer the taste. This recipe is super simple and will save you some calories and carbohydrates. It also has a lot of nutritional benefits that a traditional bread crust does not.

Wholesome Chocolate Chip Cookies | Recipe

Okay guys, here’s a secret, I love a good chocolate chip cookie! I like them soft and gooey and
filled with lots and lots of chocolate chips. However, I’m trying so hard to be good and eat only
wholesome ingredients. Well, guess what? These cookies are made with only the more
wholesome and natural ingredients. They may not be exactly low calorie or low sugar, but I feel
good about each ingredient that I have put into them. Not to mention, these cookies are so
yummy.

Easy Meal Prep Stir-Fry

Easy Meal Prep Stir-Fry

After my juice cleanse last week I was craving something hearty but I didn't want to sabotage all my hard work with a sodium-filled dish out. I had some visitors and was inspired by a friend who mentioned her meal prep. I knew exactly what I wanted at that point and put this dish together and ate it for three days.

End-Of-Summer Perfect Peach Waffles

End-Of-Summer Perfect Peach Waffles

You guys! I woke up one morning craving waffles because I had a dream I was eating waffles the night before. I recently just bought this cute little mini waffle maker too so I was SO excited to get in the kitchen and get these babies going. And then, whomp whomp.... I realized I had NOTHING to make a traditional waffle. So I had to get extremely crafty.

Side note: these can easily be made Vegan by using coconut oil in place of Ghee. You can also sub out honey for date sugar.

Roasted Grapes & Pesto Toast | Recipe

Roasted Grapes & Pesto Toast | Recipe

For those of you that are new to the concept of roasting grapes, I'm with you! I recently read up on different roasted grape recipes and I was totally intrigued. I love grapes, but I usually eat them chilled... So the idea of tossing my grapes in olive oil, roasting them and eating them in a savory dish seemed out of the ordinary. However, the pictures on Pinterest made it look delicious so I had to try it for myself. Well, I am here to tell you that they are amazing!

Yogurt Dipped Kiwi Slices | Recipe

Yogurt Dipped Kiwi Slices | Recipe

With Summer still in full force here in Phoenix, I am looking for any and all ways to escape the heat. Weekend getaways, spending most my time indoors, and limiting my use of hot kitchen appliances! In fact, the freezer is my new favorite kitchen appliance this summer. No heat and it can make so many healthy snacks, like this one! These yogurt dipped kiwi slices are really good AND healthy. I love that they are frozen, they are totally the perfect summer snack when you need to forget that is 115 degrees outside.

Best Overnight Oats | Recipe

Best Overnight Oats | Recipe

I am obsessed with overnight oats right now! They are so easy to prep the night before (literally
dump your ingredients into a Mason jar and stir LOL), and in the morning you can just grab and
go. Plus, overnight oats are so nutritious! There's so many option of what to put in your oats, but
my fave combination is chia seeds, Greek yogurt, and nut butter.

Table Salt vs Himalayan Salt | FYI

Table Salt vs Himalayan Salt | FYI

Traditionally I have always used table salt while cooking in the kitchen and  recently opted to make a healthier switch from table salt, to Himalayan sea salt! Aside from its culinary uses, pink Himalayan sea salt can be beneficial for supplying the body with essential minerals and electrolytes, improving immunity, re-hydrating the body, reducing inflammation and increasing circulation, reduces blood pressure, and aids with weight loss.

The Importance of Protein! | FYI

The Importance of Protein! | FYI

Protein is a core nutrient our body counts on; did you know that protein makes up every cell in our body? Our body relies on protein to create enzymes, hormones, bones, muscle, blood, cartilage, skin, hair, and nails. Protein is a macro-nutrient, meaning our body relies heavily on these nutrients in order to be healthy!

Easy & Healthy Banana Ice Cream | DIY

Easy & Healthy Banana Ice Cream | DIY

I love ice cream!! But, I don't think ice cream loves me back because I never feel very good after I eat it. Plus, ice cream isn't exactly "healthy"... such a bummer. At least it WAS a bummer, until I found this healthy ice cream recipe!! Yes, this ice cream really is healthy. Seriously. It's only made from two ingredients, bananas and natural peanut butter! It's so soft and creamy and all you have to do is freeze some bananas ahead of time and then blend them up! Right out of the blender it takes like soft serve ice cream, or you can put it in the freezer for a couple of hours and get that grocery store ice cream texture. Either way, it's a win-win. I used natural peanut butter, but of course you can use whatever nut butter you'd like.

Strawberry Banana Chia Seed Smoothie Bowl

Strawberry Banana Chia Seed Smoothie Bowl

I am always looking for something new and nutritious for breakfast and I seriously fell in love when I found recipes similar to this one on Pinterest! This recipe is so genius because the ingredients can be swapped out with your favorite ingredients as long as you stick with the basic measurements. I used frozen strawberries and bananas but you can trade these out for whatever frozen fruit you’d like. I also used unsweetened almond milk because that’s a favorite of mine, but you can switch that out too. Another reason why I love this recipe is because it has CHIA SEEDS! Chia seeds are the best because they have so many benefits. They are full of omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, fiber, iron and calcium! They also help you feel more full and reduce your appetite so you can easily make it from breakfast to lunch with minimal snacking.

Grilled Chicken Caprese Salad Skewers | 4th of July

Grilled Chicken Caprese Salad Skewers | 4th of July

Aren't these salad skewers so cute? They are pretty healthy too! They are also the EASIEST thing to make. All it takes is grilling some chicken and then throwing the skewers together with the other totally easy ingredients. I pretty much threw this recipe together in about 30 minutes (including grilling time!) and I was so happy with the result!

Quick Tips on Being Healthy | Me & My Pup

Making healthy choices on a daily basis can actually be easy. But what about when it comes to your pets? I don't know if you saw my previous post, but it's kind of scary how unregulated the food we're feeding our pets can be. I've tried to keep it plain and simple for you here.

CCB Easy AF Avocado Toast

CCB Easy AF Avocado Toast

There's nothing quite like avocado toast. However, it's super easy to take avo toast and turn it into a calorie and carb BOMB.

I wanted to share one that I make daily. I love this one because it's full of all the good fats, proteins, and fiber. Every piece of it is "good for you." And it's not an overload of carbohydrates and/or calories. AND IT TASTES GOOD AF! Oh, and it's super simple (did I say that?).
