Easy & Healthy Strawberry Smoothie | Recipe

I love a good smoothie in the morning, something with lots of nutrients and no added sugar. This smoothie recipe is a fave of mine because it’s only three ingredients: frozen banana, frozen strawberries, and almond milk. The idea freezing your fruit ahead of time for smoothies is truly genius because it takes the place of ice in blended recipes. This is super important because while yes, ice makes blended drinks frozen, it also waters them down! That’s always been such a pet peeve of mine, so now I ALWAYS make sure to freeze some fruit ahead of time.

I also like this recipe because it is so quick. While I love going out to grab a smoothie, sometimes when I’m at home working I just don’t have time. It literally takes me 3 minutes max to toss some frozen fruit and almond milk in my blender, so choosing to make smoothie on a busy day is definitely a no brainer. Not to mention how healthy it is! The only sugar in this smoothie is found in the fruit (I use unsweetened almond milk!) and natural sugars from fruit is totally okay as long as you don’t over-do it. Give this recipe a try, I promise you guys will love it!

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 5 frozen strawberries
  • ¾ cup almond milk

Here’s what you’ll do:

  1. Cut your frozen banana into slices and toss them in the blender.
  2. Cut the tops off your strawberries and toss them in the blender.
  3. Add your almond milk to the blender.
  4. BLEND!
