Tastier Healthier H20 Hacks

The other day I was drinking the last of my 128 ounces of water, and it got me thinking about how many people don't drink as much water as they should. Why is that? Personally, I love getting every last drop in. It keeps my day running smoothly, skin plump, digestion system on track, and I don’t mind the taste at all. But I do know a lot of people who drink other things such as soda, juice, energy drinks, etc. because they all taste better than water.

Water has so many benefits for everyday life and it is essential that we all take advantage. So here are a few things you can add to that boring glass of H2O to not only enhance the flavor but to add some extra benefits.

Lemon, we all know lemon water. The restaurant classic, the very first water disguiser. But lemon does not only make your water taste fresh and citrusy, it’s loaded with Vitamin C and B, calcium, magnesium, potassium, and fiber. It is known to help speed up your metabolism, and can ease inflammation in your joints!

Kiwis, this is a fruit I forget about a lot. However add a few slices of kiwi to your water and your skin may start glowing. Kiwis have a cleansing enzyme called actinides. That is not all kiwis have to offer, you get essential fatty acids, potassium, fiber and Vitamin C.

Cucumber, this water is crisp and fresh and the hint of flavor is so good. Cucumbers are full of antioxidants, which hello everyone wants. There has been research suggesting cucumbers help fight against cancer. With Vitamin K it will support bone health, the Vitamin B-5 promotes healthy skin, and the potassium levels help to lower blood pressure! Who doesn’t want all of that?

Mint is such a bold flavor, yet so good. Mint leaves are well known to help with stomach pains, ease nausea, and help digestion. Tip: Mix with any other fruit or cucumber can be that much better.

Apple Cider Vinegar, now we all know my feelings about ACV. I love it! How could you not with all of the health benefits, I actually wrote a post on it a while back and you can read more in depth on it here. Add a couple of tablespoons to your next glass of water for added taste, regulate blood sugar levels, and promote weight loss.

Sakara beauty and detox water concentrates, these are my current obsession and go to water solutions! The beauty concentrate is made with rose water and silica. Rose water is anti-inflammatory and soothing. Silica is a mineral that plumps up the cells helping them retain water, giving your skin a smooth, youthful look. The detox concentrate is made up of chlorophyll and magnesium. Chlorophyll, is taking toxins and heavy metals out of your body while it is also giving your body oxygen which rejuvenates cells, boosts your energy, and improves circulation. Magnesium can help regulate the body’s stress, encourages toxin removal, and improves digestion. These are so easy to take on the go with you and a add a few drops to any glass of water. You can find them here, and I also have a code for you to save money, use REF_CANDICE15.

One last thing to make this whole water thing less boring, get a cute water bottle like this one. It has a separate console in the middle specifically made for infusing ingredients!

Happy hydrating!
