Resort Overview | Featuring the Arizona Grand

Last week I got to experience the beautiful Arizona Grand Resort located in Tempe, Arizona. I had heard of this iconic hotel since moving to Arizona, but it was one that I never truly got to explore until now.

And my visit couldn’t have come at a better time, since they just completed a $13 million dollar renovation of all of their guest suites and villas. The concept behind the renovation was to create a “home away from home” experience. And it did just that. The rooms are cozy and comfortable with big bright windows.

Mckenna and I checked in on a Sunday and immediately made our way out to Oasis Water Park. Here, we shared a cabana and enjoyed delicious Patron Margaritas with fresh fruit and cookies. We also shared some poolside delights like a caesar wrap and chicken fingers (we were hungry). After a few hours of hanging out, eating and sipping cocktails… we made our way over to the 8-story thrill slides. I went down the free fall slide but Mckenna didn’t want to get her hair wet (haha). Oasis also overs the Zuni River, which is the Valley’s only side-by-side active river for double inner tubing with the rolling effect of an actual river. You can also enjoy the Oasis Wave Pool, Wild Cat Springs (six water jets to keep kids busy on the water spray deck), and Caliente springs (Built to hold 25 people, this hot tub features gently rolling jets and heated water to soothe and invigorate).

On Sunday night, we had the concierge take us up the hill to Rustler’s Rooste, an Arizona mountaintop landmark! Here, we had steak and danced the night away to live music! Don’t miss the slide… yes, I went down two slides that day. It was such a treat!

The Arizona Grand actually offers 6 unique dining experiences and we dabbled in each. I loved the fine dining aspect of the Lobby Grill. Such a beautiful outdoor patio with sweeping views, firepits, and great seating. The food here was delicious… but my favorite dish was the panna cotta dessert. Do NOT miss it!

Each morning we enjoyed a Starbucks coffee from the Marketplace Cafe and one of my favorite lunches was from Aunt Chilada’s (LOVE the name). They have delicious margaritas and authentic mexican food.

We also got to experience the spa during a short and sweet stay. The Arizona Grand spa offers many services, but I chose the CBD massage. I am constantly in need of a massage so I thoroughly enjoyed all 90 minutes of this service.

One of my very favorite mornings, we woke early and had room service in our cozy room. It was such a delight! One of everything, please.

We had such a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this resort if you’re visiting the area or just looking for a place to staycay! It’s such a good spot whether you’re with family or traveling alone. There truly is something for everyone. It’s such a big, sprawling property and I feel like that makes it an oasis. I honestly forgot that I was still in Phoenix (which is home for me). It made a perfection destination for a girls trip and I can’t wait to go back.
